Another piece which was begun months ago but which I didn't have the chance to continue. She appeared behind my eyelids just on the point of falling asleep one night: an aged woman with abundant golden hair. I started drawing her the following day.
I gave her the French title because I was reminded of Debussy's prelude, La fille aux cheveux de lin (The girl with the flaxen hair).
I'm not sure when I may be able to continue her, but I thought I might share the stage she is at now.
